Gender Trends in Florida Pedestrians Deaths
 
A September 2018 Study in the Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering (India Study) shows that Males actually take more attempts to cross unmarked, uncontrolled mid-block crosswalks.  However, more Females are killed because Females cross slower than Males.

I believe if the FDOT would release this Public Information it would show a dramatic increase in Female Pedestrian Deaths at Marked and especially at Unmarked Mid-Block Crosswalks in locations that violate Federal Safety Standards.

Seventy-one percent of all motor vehicle crash deaths in 2018 were males. Males accounted for 71 percent of passenger vehicle driver deaths, 48 percent of passenger vehicle passenger deaths, 97 percent of large truck driver deaths, 71 percent of large truck passenger deaths, 69 percent of pedestrian deaths, 86 percent of bicyclist deaths, and 91 percent of motorcyclist deaths.
